Q:

I ran out of birth control pills for a week and a half, and picked up where I left of. I did not have sex on any of the days I was out of them but my period is usually right on time and I'm getting worried. Is this normal?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

You don't pick up where you left off when you miss pills like this. You start a new pack and use condoms for 7-10 days as a backup. It's doubtful you could be pregnant since you didn't have sex. Your cycle is off due to missing pills. If you still have concerns, you can take a test 14-21 days after having sex.
Best,
Susan
