Q:

I will be 41 in August. I started my period on May 22 and it was normal (maybe not as heavy as usual)lasting around 5 days. I have been spotting ever since , and that is almost 2 weeks. It is a brownish/red color.

Now I will say about a week before I started my period my husband used a "toy" on me and afterwards I bled, which I've never done before. I am not cramping and I've took a pregnancy test which was negative. I have been under a tremendous amount of stress these past couple of weeks, so I don't know if that could have anything to do with it.

Guide

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Sometimes stress can have a huge impact on the menstrual cycle. Any time you have prolonged vaginal bleeding you need to see a gynecologist. It can simply be caused by hormonal imbalances, or something more serious.
Below I have pasted a link to a HER article that lists possible reasons for prolonged vaginal bleeding.
