I had my normal period June 12-18 I lost my virginity on June 28 I was swollen for a week after that because of it, But because he didn't finish and we didn't use a condom So me being a paranoid girl I took a test I took it on the July 3rd and it said not pregnant even tho i know that could be false negative because it had only been a couple days I was relieved but also still a little worried the next day on the 4th I started bleeding and to me that's not normal because I just had my period not to long ago and I bleed for 7 days until the 10th like a normal period I took another test after 2 weeks and it said not pregnant again so the month went on and on the 27th I started bleeding again for 5days until the 31 and I started to get worried again because it seems like I've had my period twice now in one month and that's not normal ? In August I got my period for a full week from 19th-25th and In September it only lasted 6days the 14th-19 and now it's October and It started on the 11th and it was normal for the first two days and now it's the 14 and my glow keeps going from heavy to barely bleeding at all is there anyway I could be pregnant? Please comment thank you

Hi helpmeout221,

Thank you for reaching out to the EmpowHER community with your question.

I really doubt that you are pregnant because you are having periods, even though they may be irregular.

If I were you, I would go to an OBGYN or talk with your mother or another woman that you trust. You'll want to talk with your doctor about the irregular bleeding and he or she may put you on birth control pills to help regulate your period.

Since you are now sexually active, going on the pill is a good idea as condoms are not always a fail proof method.

Are you able to go to the doctor or to a local free/discount clinic?

Best,

Kristin
