Q:

Late period due to stress and work schedule?

I have been working 2 jobs at almost 80 hours a week with very little sleep. This and quite a few other things has caused a lot of stress in the last month and a half. I usually don't keep up with when my cycle begins or ends. Its always kinf of a suprise every month. Past few have been relatively short and light. I am currently sexually active. I'm kinda freaking out because I feel as if it should have started by now so I was wondering if it was the stress and my current work schedule throwing it off?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. No doubt, stress can cause changes to a woman's ovulation and menstruation cycle. But in order to know for sure if you are pregnant, since you are sexually active. You will need to take a home pregnancy test. It's always good to keep track of when your period starts. Hope this was helpful?

Best,

Daisy
