Late period related

It's 34th day and I haven't got my periods but I can feel the pain in my lower back and legs from past 4 days that I usually experience before my periods. I had taken Emergency Contraceptive after having unprotected sex on the 4th day of my previous period. Can you please help me with it? Why are my periods so delayed? Should I go for a pregnancy test?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Your period may be delayed -a side effect of taking emergency contraception but since you are very late, a pregnancy test is advisable, it would be accurate by now.

Susan
