I'm on TriNessa and have been taking it for several years. I started a new pack on Sunday and took my first three pills on time (which for me is at 10pm). On Wednesday, I had unprotected sex in the afternoon (I had taken my pill Tuesday night at the normal time). Wednesday night, after sex, I forgot my pill. I remembered it Thursday morning and took it at 8am (10 hours late). Am I at risk of getting pregnant because I had sex and then took a pill late in the first week of the pack? And should I use backup protection for the next week? Thank you!

You should have been protected because you made up for the missed dose within 12 hours. If it will give you peace of mind, you could have your partner use a condom for the next week. Not absolutely necessary.
