Hello, I had protected sex with my Girlfriend on 3rd July'2015. Her Due date was 28th July but she has not got her periods till now. Is it normal or should she suppose to see a doctor? what could be the possible reason for not getting periods on time?

Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

There are many factors (stress, illness, medication, excessive exercise, etc.) that could be impacting your girlfriend's hormones making her menstrual cycle later than her norm.

The average menstrual cycle is 28 days long. However, a normal cycle can be shorter or longer than this. It may be anywhere from 21 to 35 days long. Menstrual cycles may happen around the same date every month or they may be irregular.

I hope this helps.

Be well,
~Gillette
