Hello, I started 28 day pack birth control this month when I started my period on the inactive pills , and I missed taking active pills on day 13 and 14 and have unprotected sex everyday and on day 13 and 14, could it be possible that I fall pregnant as for its my ovulation period?

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your question.

Taking a daily active birth control pill prevents ovulation. When you miss an active pill, you should make up for the missed dose as soon as you realize it. That means two pills on one day.

If you miss more than one pill, make it up and back it up by having your partner use a condom.

By missing two consecutive doses, it was possible to trigger ovulation. Having intercourse at that time without back up protection could have resulted in pregnancy.

All that you can do is to continue to take your pills regularly and wait for withdrawal bleeding to happen.

Regards,
Maryann
