Q:

no sex, late light bleeding

I'm a virgin, but my boyfriend and I have had oral sex. Maybe a month ago we may have touched private parts, but I'm sure he didn't get any ejaculate on or near my vagina. My period was late by 3 days, but now once I've gotten it, it's very light. I do have cramps however. For the last week, I experienced emotional symptoms of PMS, but no breast tenderness or back pain. I have started a new year at college, and I'm waking up earlier than I did during the summer. I've been stressing about this for 2 days now, so could that stress contribute to the late period? I'm not in the position to get pregnant right now.

Guide

Hello, Anon.

Thank you for posting.

We receive many posts like this. Stress can impact the menstrual cycle and this is likely what is happening with you. For safety and peace of mind, have your partner wear a condom during any genital to genital contact.
