period worries

thanks for you reply kristin, I have taken a test about half hour ago but it was negative it is almost 9pm here so testing this late wasnt a good idea, im gonna try again in the morning as my hcg levels will be higher then if i am indeed pregnant, I keep getting hot flushes too, im hoping its a good sign but only time will tell, i will post in the morning at let you know the result of the test

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community! As women, our bodies are very complex and our cycles aren't always regular. If you are used to having a regular cycle, I am sure you are feeling very confused about the discharge and other symptoms you are noticing. 

You could be experiencing some irregular bleeding or spotting. You could also be experiencing implantation bleeding. Implantation is when the fertilized egg is attaching itself to your uterus resulting in pregnancy. Implantation bleeding is very light and lasts only a day or two. It is usually very light pink or brown.

Since you had sex on June 11th and your period was very light and now you are experiencing brown discharge and cramps, I would take a pregnancy test to confirm whether or not you are actually pregnant. 

If you had your last period on June 16th and haven't had a regular cycle since then, I would take a pregnancy test or blood test at your doctor's office.
