Q:

Possibility?

My boyfriend and I have been in a relationship for one year. Around last month, we got into an intense make out session. We were BOTH fully clothed and he and I touched each other over our clothes. He had touched me over my clothes around my genital area. That’s as far as we got. Now you may think I’m crazy for even asking, but there’s no chance of pregnancy whatsoever right? I just feel like I need someone who really knows about this sort of stuff to reassure me. Ive has my period since then and I still can’t calm down. I’m deathly afraid of it even being so, and I just need someone to help me calm down. Thanks.

Guide

Hello, Anon. Thank you for your message.

Have you had sex education in school? If not, you can study on your own. Our EmpowHER site is a good resource or you can read books on the subject. Intercourse is when you have sex with a penis in your vagina. To get pregnant, sperm (from a male's penis) has to travel up your vaginal canal and meet an egg. The highest chance of this happening is during ovulation.

So, you cannot get pregnant from what you did.

best,

Helena
