Q:

Pregnant? When should I test?

Last month I had a 23 day cycle -3 days early from my typical 26 day cycle though my cycles have been weird lately.

Shortly after my period ended I started having swollen sore breasts and twinges in my left ovary. I've not been able to lose the bloat weight from my last period either. No other symptoms besides feeling irritable the entire month. My next period is due in one week, should I wait until then to see if I'm even late ? Is it possible that progesterone kicked in early?

Other info: practicing NFP w/ withdrawal always used correctly, NtNp, my age 33

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Not all cycles will be the same every months. If you are planning on taking a pregnancy test, it's best to wait until your period is due and even a week after to get a more accurate reading. If you are not planning on getting pregnant, withdrawal method is not a safe way.

Best,

Daisy
