Q:

Pregnant without penetration

I am wondering if I could be pregnant? My bf and I have never had penetration but a couple weeks ago he grinded against my butt opening. Idk if there was any precum. I have been having a lot of cramps and sore breasts. Period is due in 4 days. This morning I woke up with brown discharge when I wiped but nothing else came out. Is this implantation bleeding? Could I be pregnant? I’m very scared. Please help.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Were you ovulating? If not and there was no actual penetration or ejaculation then you can't get pregnant. Pre-ejaculate itself does not contain any sperm. Sperm may be inside the urethra if a man ejaculated recently and did not urinate since. If he urinated since he last ejaculated, there is no sperm at all. Pregnancy is very uncommon from pre-ejaculate and the urethra would have to contain sperm at the same time. A woman would also have to be ovulating and engage in unprotected intercourse with ejaculation. Your symptoms are likely PMS and it sounds like your period is on it's way.
Best,
Susan
