Q:

Sex during period, SORE breasts 2 weeks after encounter

I had sex on day three of my period. Used the withdrawal method, which I know doesn't matter. 2 weeks after my breasts became sore and seem swollen although I have not gained in size. I took a hpt 19 days after encounter = Negative.
I usually get sore tender breasts a week before and during my period. I also have a long cycle approx. 40 days. Therefore it's very strange that I have sore breast so soon after my period. I plan on taking another htp in 5 days ( 24 days after the encounter). Until then I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions.
Thanks

Hi Anon,

You might be ovulating. If the pain and discomfort does continues, it's best to see a doctor.

Best,

Daisy

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  You can not get pregnant during your period.  A woman can only get pregnant during her fertile days, for most woman with a normal cycle it can happen between days 11-21 of a cycle.  Counting from day 1 of your period. Hope this was helpful?

Best,

Daisy

Why would I have sore swollen breasts 16 or 17 days after my period started? Def feels like PMS but its way too early after my last period to be having these symptoms....
