Guide

Hello, and thank you for sharing your question with the community.  I'm sorry to hear about this disconcerting event.  I'd love to offer some helpful advise.

The most important thing is how this event made you feel.  Since it happened when you when so young I can understand that you could not make complete sense of it at the time.  Now that you are older, you want to know how you should view the event.

Rape is a brutal act intended to humiliate, and abuse. However, it does not sound like the boy was intending to harm you.  Very young boys entering puberty experience desires that they don't really understand. Their instincts during this stage of puberty is the experiment.

I would not classify the boys action as rape necessarily because I do not believe he wanted to see you suffer.  However, I will repeat: the most important thing is how this event made you feel.  If this disrupts your relationships, your sex life, makes you feel insecure, or like you have "a secret" to hide, you must consider more professional counsel.

I do not think the boy intended to harm you physically or psychologically, but if he did unintentionally, you need to seek therapy in order to live a life that is not ruled by a memory.

I wish you luck.  Let us know if you have any more questions.

All the best,

Faith
