Hello Susan,

My name is Brenda and I have been taking Lo Estrogen fe since April 2015. On June 29 and 30 I missed my pills due to the pharmacy being closed , but I took the pills as indicated on the package. Now the websites says that I shouldn't have sex during the first 7 days after restarting the new pack. I did have sex the 8th day which is today 7/8/2015. I'm really worry bease my partner and I had unprotected sex and went inside me. What should I do, should I take a plan b pill what are the chances of being pregnant. I never missed a pill since April 2015 which was when I switchted from the implant to pills.

Thank you,

Brenda.

Guide

Hello Brenda,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Since you have been taking your birth control pills consistently since July 1, you should have taken seven consecutive doses by the time you had intercourse. That is enough time for hormone levels to have been reached to prevent ovulation.

Do not take an emergency contraceptive.

Any further concerns should be discussed with your gynecologist.

Regards,
Maryann
