Withdrawal bleeding looks like any other kind of bleeding.
It happens after birth control is stopped (when on the Pill, a period is really withdrawal bleeding when 21 active pills are taken and 7 inactive pills begin). It also happens after emergency birth control - usually 3-7 days after the EC is taken (if at all).

You need to read the paperwork that comes with the medication so you know more. Your next period may be 1-4 weeks after this bleeding.
