In July I had a period issue for which the doctor gave me primolut n. I got a heavy flow of periods on 1st August. In the middle of August I made out with my bf where he rubbed is penis on my vagina for some time. I'm a virgin and haven't had sex before . for precautions I still took emergency contraception. 29th august I started my period which lasted a day and at night I had a brown ish lubricant kind of discharge and throughout the day I had cramps like never before. then next day I had very low flow but periods and then for two days I didn't have proper flow it was just like heavy spotting. Now i don't have spotting or perioids. Is pregnancy possible? If not then why am I facing so many menstrual problems. Of course I'm over weight but I've never had this trouble. My physician gave me glucophage 500mg and told me that I probably have swelling. But I'm scared I might be preg. Help

Hi AyenaRyz,

Thank you for your question. If you are a virgin and you and your boyfriend did not engage in unprotected sex, you are not pregnant and you should have not taken emergency contraception.

The reason for your menstrual problems is due to you taking the emergency contraception pill.

Potential side effects include:nausea abdominal pain fatigue headache menstrual changes dizziness breast tenderness and vomiting.

I hope this helps.

Be well,
