Q:

Where is my period?

Hello!
I'd like to get some input as I am sort of panicking a little.
So my last proper period happened on the 9th of January. On the 18th of Jan I had sex and it was pretty careless, although he didn't ejaculate "in", so decided to take postinor 2 tablets within 24 hrs or so because I just wanted to be sure.
On the 25th I started my period.. which I suppose was good because it showed that postinor worked.

On the 1st and 20th of Feb I had sex again and it was interrupted and I didn't take any plan b meds afterwards.

I've heard that postinor 2 can "reset" the menstrual cycle to day 1 even if the previous period had been recent. So it should be here today :(
Plus lately, I have been very anxious and stressed and overly emotional due to my work situation I think.
I guess I'm just wondering if pregnancy is a likely thing in my case? Or have I just messed around my my cycle with postinor and stress?

Will appreciate any input!!

Thanks,

L.M

Hi LM,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. It is often the case that when you take any emergency contraceptive, your cycle will become irregular for at least two cycles or two months. It is almost impossible to calculate your regular periods since you took the emergency contraceptive. If you fear pregnancy, take a pregnancy test and that should settle any concerns. However, you may want to try and relax for at least the next couple months before you can calculate your normal periods again. The delay is very common.

I hope this helps and keep us posted.

Missie
