Guide

Hi mckenzierose and thanks for bringing your concern to EmpowHER.

This is a decision that you alone can make, and you need to make it soon, as it is best to take an emergency contraceptive within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.

There is an increased risk of pregnancy when you miss a pill as I'm sure you know. If you do take an emergency contraceptive be aware that it may impact your cycle and change it for a short period of time, resulting in delays, a different type of flow than normal, etc. These side effects are routine, so don't become alarmed.

Hope this helps you make your decision.

Best,

Pam
