Melissa explains how she is able to deal with the frustrations she has with lung cancer.
Melissa:
Well, one of the first things that I did was I started writing in a blog. And, really, that was my, just kind of like a journal for me just to get out all my thoughts and feelings. And I tend to do it late at night when I can’t sleep. And, it helps me kind of sort the day out and sort my feelings out and if I am angry or if I am sad, I can write about it and just get it out on paper.
I also talk a lot to friends and family. And, actually, I talk so much that, you know, by the end of the day I am completely exhausted. And usually it’s about 5 o’clock that I lay down and take a nap just because I am constantly, you know, talking on the phone and text messaging and emailing and those sorts of thing.
So, the blog has been my savior because there’s just so many wonderful people in my life that want to be up-to-date and know what’s going on and want to help out and the blog has been a great way to communicate with them and let them know what they can do and let them know what’s going on inside in my head.
