While trying to get pregnant, Keri explains how she advocated for herself.

Keri:
How did I advocate for myself while trying to get pregnant was through just asking as many questions as I could and not really accepting the answers that the doctor was telling me, that taking that information that I received from him and going on the Internet and researching that information, and then making the best possible decision with my husband for us as a family and looking at all of the aspects, not just a few.

And, the medical aspects of it as well as the emotional aspects and the toll that it will take on your marriage, the potential toll that it could take on your marriage and your family-life, and taking all of that into consideration, and then making our decision. So, by research and by continuously asking questions, I think was how I advocated for myself.
