Heather:

I kept drinking throughout high school, but it was more of a weekend thing because I did live with my mom. When I got out of high school I went to college up in Flagstaff and I only drank on the weekends with my friends, but then my friends started going bowling on Tuesday nights so I started drinking on Tuesday and before I knew it I was drinking seven days a week, and I noticed that I wasn’t happy there anymore.

So I moved back home for about a month and decided I wanted to move to Vegas, so I moved to Las Vegas to go to college and within a couple of weeks I had a full time job and I had a girlfriend and it seemed like everything was fine, except for we liked to drink and do drugs together.

When I moved to Vegas I didn’t really know what drugs were, and before I knew it I couldn’t go a day without thinking about drugs and when the next time I was going to do cocaine or heroin. I didn’t know and I was just so excited; that was my lift for the day was to go to my drug dealer and get what I needed.
