Cancer doesn't take breaks for an economic downturn. . .
-Guy Fischer

Hi and thank you for joining us at EmpowHer.com, the home for women's health online.

Since 1913, the American Cancer Society has been the nationwide health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem, preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminished suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

Because of donations from Americans like you, the American Cancer Society has led the way in cancer research, behavioral research, intramural epidemiology and surveillance research, and there's no cancer organization who does it better.

With home prices falling, the dollar's value decreasing and large numbers of Americans being laid-off, how has the downturn in the economy affected the American Cancer Society's ability to eliminate cancer?

To answer these pressing questions on the cutting edge of the nation's cancer fight, EmpowHer is joined by Guy Fischer, the Chief Development Officer of American Cancer Society.
