My boyfriend and I conceived December 23rd and I lost the pregnancy January 27th. I am only 20 years old, I would like to know if I really need a checkup. I stopped bleeding two days ago and I feel fine. But if I have to see a doctor, I have to see one. My boyfriend and I still feel sad that we lost the baby. And we will try again later.

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. I am sorry for the loss of your baby. There are often reasons why a miscarriage occurs such as fibroids, cysts, etc. and then there are unknown reasons that cause miscarriages. It is better to get a check up from your doctor to be sure there are no underlying reasons why this occurred. For more information about miscarriages, please check out information from our website here http://www.empowher.com/condition/miscarriage/causes.

I hope this helps. Please keep us posted.

Missie
