Q:

Am I having an orgasm?

I've been dating for about a year now and I keep having what could only be described as an orgasm??? It starts with a build up of stimulation that leads to heavy breathing, rapid heart rate, vaginal palpitations and wetness, sweating and a feeling that I can only describe as reaching a peak level of stimulation that feels extremely pleasurable and overwhelming at the same time, followed by an abrupt stop and a sense of exhaustion that makes me feel like I can't continue any more (sounds like an orgasm right?). I'm 28 and I don't believe I've ever had an orgasm. This is by far the closest I've ever felt like I was having an actual orgasm and I don't know if I'm mentally blocking myself from fully achieving it? I should add that I sometimes have the feeling (fear) that I might urinate when the build up starts during intercourse??? This maybe one of the reasons that I mentally stop myself before achieving full completion. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Guide

Hello V,

This sounds like an orgasm. My only suggestion to you is to relax and enjoy the experience. If you are concerned about urinating during the experience, that can certainly impede the enjoyment and prevent you from fully enjoying it. Empty your bladder before having sex.

Regards,
Maryann
