I am going on four days late with my period. My period has been very regular of every 28-29 day for a long time now. I took two home pregnancy tests and a blood test at the doctors and all came up negative. Is there a chance I could still be pregnant? I've also been cramping the past week and a half as if I were going to start menstruation but now that's starting to subside. Thanks...

Hi Anonymous,
December 23, 2010 - 8:36amThanks for your question and for finding EmpowHER. Three tests say you're not pregnant, so I would assume your period is just late or you are skipping for some reason. There are many things that can cause you to be late or skip. Did you ask the doctor what they think when you got the blood test? If you are really concerned, call them and ask them how long they think you should go without a period before they want to check into why you're not getting it. It may be a good idea to keep track of any symptoms you have so if you do decide to call the doctor you have it all clearly and can explain it to them.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
