Michelle Robson recommends Twin Labs magnesium to help with constipation (400 mg/day).

For me, I have had IBS as long a I have been hypo so whether or not that causes my problems who knows. I have always gone the "other" way. Sometimes to the extreme.

Your intestines will certainly need some time to adjust to medication, and once you get your medication adjusted to the proper dose you will most likely start to see a new "normal" pattern. What your experiencing is normal, so don't worry. :)

Things will balance out eventually and hopefully you'll be feeling great before you know it!

Yes chronic constipation pretty much goes with hypothyroidism. Your best bet is rediculous amounts of water, vegetables, fruits, and if you still are having issues try a cup of hot prune juice in the mornings. Sounds repulsive but does help. more so that a cold glass of juice does.
