Hi my name is CeeCee I got an ultra sound done because of pelvic pain my results came back and my general health care doctor told me that the results came back with the impression of bilateral polycystic ovaries and endometrial cysts most consistent with adenosis. My uterus measures 7.2 x 4.2 x 3.4 cm with normal appearing myometial echoes. The endometrial echoes measures up to 6.8 mm on transabdominal images. The endometrial echoes are slightly heterogeneous with small cysts, indivitually measuring up to 2.8 x 2.5 x 1.3mm and 3.6 x 1.5 x 1.1mm, Both adnexa are normal in size. The right measures 3.4 x 3.1 x 1.7cm the left measures 3.5 x 2.8 x 1.7 cm. Both demonstrate numerous peripheral subcentimeter follicular cysts.Limited color doopler imaging demonstrates normal vascular flow in ovaries. No free fluid is within the cul-de-sac. This is what my ultra sound results said and my doctor said not to worry about it...that i need no surgery or medication...what is your opinion on this? I am really afraid that I might not be able to have children because of this :(

Hi ceecee3six,
Welcome to EmpowHER. You will need to discuss with yoru doctor any concerns you might have on your results. If you feel this way, it might be best to get a second opinion from a specialist such as an OBGYN.
