I had sex three months ago, and I have had two periiods since. I have a period two weeks after I lost my virginity, and then another one a month later, that one was exceptionally heavy. But this month I have not. Well not yet. It was due this week but they aren't 100% regular cause I'm only 16. Do you think I could be pregnant. I am so worried because if I am I'd be like 3 months pregnant. and I've just started my a levels so I'm stressing about them too. But if I go to doctors its hard to get to them because I live in a village in countryside with no shops. I'm stressing so much. Can any of you offer me some help or advice? Thank you.

So this is probably a silly question. I last had sex like beginning of September with protection. I got on the pill right after that so of course my periods were a little off. I've had heavy bleeding when I'm supposed to on my pills or when I've forgotten to take one. I've had no signs of pregnancy other than my stomach expanding which could very well be due to me just gaining weight. I did take a test in September that was negative and another test right after my period following the pills and it was negative. So I guess my worry is that I took the tests too early and was I just getting triggered periods from my pills and is that what has continued to happen when I bleed? Thanks in advance!

Hello Anonymous,

If you are having vaginal bleeding, you are not pregnant.

You should have bleeding when you are taking the inactive pills and not when taking the active, hormone containing pills.

If I had sex two months ago, used a condom and there was no ejaculation. But there was a time when ejaculation occurred on my pelvis but we made sure it didn't run down and I have had two periods since then. Can I be pregnant? I am just very worried

Hello Anonymous,

No need to worry. Two periods confirm that.

I also used two pregnancy tests. One was negative and the other one didn't seem to work properly with the control line being very light and the other line coming up extremely faintly but I believe it was evaporation lines as it only appeared later on and then a third test just didn't work. The second one bothered me.

You can still be pregnant after a period. It's a medical fact and it happened to me. 2 weeks after my period I found out I was 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant... take a test to be sure!

Hello Anonymous,

Do you mean you had a normal menstrual period while being pregnant and maintained the pregnancy?

No. You can't have your menstrual period while you're pregnant.

Some women do have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy. Some even report intermittent bleeding that seems like a regular period to them. But vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is not the same thing as menstruation.

Menstruation only happens when you're not pregnant: Each month, your uterus grows a thick blood-rich lining in preparation for an egg to embed there. If you don't get pregnant that month, you shed this tissue and blood – that's your menstrual period.

But once an egg embeds in the uterine lining, hormones tell the blood-rich tissue to stay intact to support the growing baby. And you won't shed it and start having your period again until your pregnancy is over.

Hi Anonymous,

No, she is not pregnant because she got her period.
