ok heres the deal my girl has tried many birth controls pills since i've been with her none ever set well with her. She decided not to take birth control from bout January 2012 to mid May 2012. she started having side pains enough to the point of an ER visit she had ovarian cysts. the Dr put her back on Birth control. its low low. shes missed days here and there always doubling up the next day one weekend she missed 3days and doubled up when she could. she got better at it.

Anyway her second period in the new BC was light only lasting 2 days but 4 days after that she forgot 3 pills in a row. we had sex on day 6 unprotected and didnt even try to stop it. she doubled up again on day 8 but now 2 1/2 weeks later she said she has been spotting here and there maybe like a really light period. so could she be pregnant

Hello thegoodlife,
I suggest your girlfriend schedule an appointment with her gynecologist. A blood pregnancy test can be done. The blood test is more accurate than a urine or home pregnancy test.

She and her gynecologist can discuss other birth control options, such as the Depo-Provera injection, which is given every three months. This may be a better option since your girlfriend is having trouble taking a birth control pill each day.
