Two days ago, i started to feel back pains on my left after waking up but it soon disappeared when i became so busy that day..But during that late afternoon the pain returned and it was hard for me to get enough sleep that night because of the discomfort.. The n ext day, the pain was more intense, spreading to my left shoulder down to my arm and until now the pain still exists on and off.. I took over the counter medication to alleviate the pain but it did not work..Does the p-ain and discomfort has something to do with my nerves or arthritis? I need your advice, please..Thanks!

Hi Maria Emilia Vidal,
I have not experienced that type of pain, and I'm wondering if you are under the care of a doctor or taking medications for any other conditions. You mentioned arthritis, have you been diagnosed with an arthritic condition? If so, you may want to contact your doctor and let them know about your pain to see what recommendation they have.
If the pain is unbearable, don't be shy about seeking out urgent care or get an urgent appointment with your doctor. Better to be seen and know what's going on, or stop a potentially dangerous situation, than just deal with pain unknowingly, is what I say.
Take record of any symptoms you are having in addition to the pain you've described. Make sure to tell the doctor about all medications or supplements you are taking. Also think if you've changed anything or done something new in your lifestyle or had an injury recently that could be a possible contributor to the pain. Your doctor will want to know about all of that.
Good luck and please let us know how you're doing.
