This month I got my periods 9 days late and it was brown in colour and very light. It just came for two days with little pinch of brown blood. Now Its 11 days and I am confused about my period. I took 1HPT in the evening which came to be negative. Next day early morning I took 1HPT which also came to be negative. I went for quantitative BHCG test which came out to be less than 0.1 . I feel sleepy and tired these days. What could be the reason, can I still b pregnant. I am always regular for my period this is the first time m so late. I am not expecting pregnancy but m really scared because once I had unprotected sex with my bf. Please help

Hello Anonymous,

Have you spoken with your gynecologist after the quantitative hCG blood test? The low level indicates that you are not pregnant.
Please speak with your physician who may choose to repeat the test or can certainly offer insight.

Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

An hCG level of 5 mlU/ml and higher is considered positive for pregnancy. Levels can be detected in blood about 11 days following conception.

Hello Anonymous,

At about 3 weeks after the last menstrual period hCG levels are 5–50 mIU/ml.

How far along are you thought to be? Do you have any exact value?

Maryann

I had a last day of menstruation last jan.2-7,2017, I did a home pregnancy test last feb.9 and the result is negative, but to be sure I had a pregnancy test in the hospital yesterday and the doctor said the result is weak,so she did a quantitative test just to be sure and the result is >1.20, she said to me it's negative, Is it really true because up to now i don't have menstruation? Is it really negative?

Is your physician planning to repeat the test?
