Q:

I am 49 years of age...not having regular periods. Due to tubular pregnancy in 1994, had both the fallopian tubes and the left ovary removed. Last period was on February 23rd. Had sex on April 5, 11 and 27. Have not got my period as yet.

Am a mother of two children aged 23 and 19. Till date, have been having unprotected sex and have never conceived after the removal of both my tubes in 1994. From November 2010, have been having irregular period. But after reading all the posts written here, I am not feeling too good as I am not in a position to have another child. Please advice if there is a possibility of getting pregnant when one is possibly heading for menopause.

Hi Anonymous,
I replied to an extremely similar comment from a visitor yesterday. It is posted below. Additionally, you can take a home pregnancy test to verify if you are in fact pregnant, or just "late," possibly due to perimenopause.

Here is the comment I mentioned, it is nearly identical to your case, so much I'm even wondering if you posted it:

If you need additional information, please let us know, or give your doctor a call to see what they suggest.
Good luck, and let us know how you're doing.
