Q:

I am on two medications for hypertension. For two weeks I have felt lightheaded and dizzy. Took my blood pressure and it is 109/63. Is that indicative of a problem

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

A blood pressure reading is considered "low normal" , as opposed to the ideal 120/80 but your reading is considered normal and healthy.
Low blood pressure is not treated unless there are symptoms and since you are having symptoms, you should call your doctor. Your symptoms may be due to anemia (which can cause low blood pressure). A blood test can let you know more.

Your medications themselves could also be causing your symptoms.
Best,
Susan
