My bf and I had unprotected sex right atfer I just ended my period I took plan B pills and the next day I got my period again even though I just had it 3 days earlier. But now I still haven't gotten my period. Is it possible that I'm just late?

Can anyone please help me? I'm thinking I'm just going to get my period really late. Or is it possible that I am pregnant? Answers asap please.

i had a weird period from may 9th to the 14th where it would stop each night and start back up the next day around noon then may 16 i was having sex with my husband and the condom broke inside me. i took plan b 2 days after the mishap, then a week later i got a heavy period for 5 days where its normally 7 days. its been 2 weeks since i got off that 2nd period but im 3 days late from when i usually get it so i didnt know if it was the plan b that changed my period up or is it something to be worried about?

Plan B does have the side effect of early or late periods, irregular periods and/or breakthrough bleeding. None of these are harmful, but they just make it confusing for a few cycles to know when your period is actually expected.

Your cycle may take a few cycles to regulate itself back to its "normal" self. If you are worried about pregnancy, you can take a home pregnancy test (if it has been at least 14 days since the condom broke).

Does this information help?

So I am a little worried. I had sex 6 days ago and the condom broke. i took plan b 24 hours later and today I found that I am spotting and cramping a little. It a dark brown/light red color. Should I be worried Im pregnant or is spotting and cramping normal after taking plan b?

Your symptoms are normal after taking Plan B, as a side effect of emergency contraception are early periods, late periods or breakthrough bleeding. Your period may take a cycle or two before becoming regular again (if it was before).

If you have any pain, or excessive bleeding, these are not normal side effects, and you would need to call your doctor.

hi,
i finished my period on the 31st of may and i had unprotected sex, took the plan b pill that night, and probably like 5 days after that i saw a light drop of blood. then after that it turned into a blood flow, and it has been near a week and it has not stopped, it has gone from blood red to brown and now back to dark brown. what does this mean?

Plan B has the side effect of causing early (or late) periods, as well as breakthrough bleeding. Neither are harmful, but are just caused by the "surge" of hormones from the Plan B pill.

It may take a cycle or two, until your period becomes regular again.

Hi,
If your boyfriend "put his penis inside my vagina", then it sounds like you had sex...right? I'm not sure what "we didn't go all the way" means, as this sounds like it is "all the way". Are you saying he did not ejaculate inside of you..and this is "all the way"? Many couples will withdraw the penis before ejaculating, and this is a type of birth control method..but please know it is still going "all the way" in terms of having sex.

If what you are saying is that you had sex, and it only lasted for a few minutes, but your boyfriend withdrew his penis before he ejaculated, then this is called the withdrawal method of birth control. It is only about 70% effective at preventing pregnancy (compared to using a condom, which is up to 98% effective!).

There is always a chance of pregnancy when having unprotected intercourse, and that is great that you took Plan B. You will need to wait until your next period begins to know if you are pregnant or not (and, unfortunately, Plan B can cause a period to be early or late. You can take a pregnancy test if your period is late).

Does this answer all of your questions?

Hi, so I'm kina scared right now. Me and my bf had unprotected sex on jun. 6th, and I think he came inside of me. I took plan b pills. I took the first pill the day right after, and then the 2nd one on the 8th. I'm supposed to have my period this week. Will I have it?

Anon,

There's no way for me to tell you for sure. But you did everything right, so try not to worry too horribly much.

Plan B OFTEN changes women's menstrual cycles because of the hormones it contains. So you may be late or early this month and next month. That's a fairly common occurrence, so don't worry if it happens.

Also, if the week comes and goes and you haven''t started your period, you can always take a pregnancy test to be sure. They should be accurate as soon as you are a day or two late. And that can reassure you that you're just late.

Does that help?

Good luck, I hope everything is just fine.
