Can't function. I am shaking inside. They have me on bus par and carafate. Its not helphing. The gyn put me on Esotridiol and I find that this causes cancer. Cancer runs rapid in my family. I don't want to be on anything that causes cancer. What can I do? I feel really bad and withdrawn

Hi Anonymous,
I am sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad. I would like to get some more information from you in order to help. Buspar is an anti-anxiety medicine and should not be causing any discomfort. On the other hand, carafate is used for treatment of ulcers. Have you been diagnosed with ulcers? This would certainly explain the burning feelings.

It takes approximately 8 weeks for ulcers to heal. How long have you been on the medication? Have you had any follow up with your physician since you have been prescribed the carafate? One thing you should note is to not take any antacids within two hours of taking your carafate.
Does any of these things seem appropriate to your situation?
Thank you for providing additional information.
Best wishes,
Missie
