The likelihood of pregnancy depends on whether or not you had sex between now and your last period. If you did have sex then pregnancy is a possibility. The only way to know whether or not you are pregnant however is by taking a pregnancy test at least a week after a missed period.
If you are not pregnant then your period could be irregular due to stress or hormonal imbalances. This is no cause for alarm. It is only necessary to have a period if you are trying to get pregnant or you have severe negative symptoms related to your cycle such as debilitating pain. If you wish to have a regular period doctors usually recommend taking birth control pills. These pills have the necessary hormones to give you a regular cycle.
