Irregular and even missed periods are common and usually nothing to worry about. Its usually due to hormonal imbalances. Most women would not have a regular period without hormonal supplements such as birth control pills. But having a regular period is not always necessary.
The only time when you need to have your period regulated is if you are trying to get pregnant, you have prolonged bleeding (more then 7 days), have severely heavy periods, or you have severe PMS.
For now there is no need to worry about pregnancy or anything dangerous to your health.
