Q:

I have fibroids which cause heavy periods and back pain. Dr has recommended hysterectomy but I am looking for options. I heard about myosure and wanted to hear from women who have had the procedure? Did it help with the heavy bleeding?

well I did the myosure procedure 4 weeks ago. it was done at a surgery centre under anesthesia. Excellent results so far. I was back to my routine next day. slight cramping the afternoon of the procedure - managed with Advil. had first period since the procedure and definite change. I am very pleased with the result and happy I found this site which made me change my mind about the cryoablation that I was actually considering.

Hi,
No worry. I did a quick internet search because I am not familiar with this procedure. My only concern would be finding a physician skilled and trained in this procedure. If you can find a physician trained in the procedure and your insurance covers it--check it out.

Hi Donna,
Welcome to the EmpowHer community. I can understand your desire to explore all options before choosing surgery. I an not familiar with the procedure or treatment that you are referring to as "measure". Maybe there are other women out there who have had this procedure and can share their experiences with you.
