if the interior seam of a can has some rust is it harmful

Thank you for your post!

A can of food with rust on the inside is not safe to eat.

The can may have tiny holes in it, allowing bacteria to form inside.

Additionally, rust is oxidized iron and is not safe for the body to consume. You will need to throw these cans out.
