I started cramping a week before my period was due. I was spotting for two days then I began to have heavy bleeding for two days. After the two days of heavy bleeding I began to spot for two days and then nothing. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. My mom and sister thinks it may be to early to detect pregnancy but i think I'm not..although the period was not as heavy as I'm used to and the fact that I don't usually get cramps during my period. Should I take another test? Is something wrong with me?

Thank you both for the advice. I've been just super concerned about that last spotting then period because it really threw me off. I am a very OCD person when it comes to my start date and any abnormalities really freak me out. I still though have not started and I am now 2 days late. However, I have been having a lot of breast tenderness as well as a constant dull pain from my diaphram to abdomen as well as sharp pains in my andomen.

It was local gathering product meeting and so forth and I have stopped that. I was just worried it would be from last month not this month bc of the spotting before my last period

I'm concerned becAuse I don't normally spot. Also because of the old saying when the kids are away the parents will play and almost every weekend since the 17th my daughter has been going visit her grandparents while her father and I attend business socials with cocktails.

That's why I was asking I had spotting last month then a period. I'm positive it was a period because it was on time as well as the proper length of time as well as because I went thru my usual destruction of 2 pairs of pants and be sheets. So your saying it would be I conceived this month?

If you get a positive result on a home pregnancy test then you are pregnant. If you haven't gotten a period for 2 months then you conceived last month and would now be 2 months pregnant.

I have my doctor said it was normal. I have physical complications with birth control. Have tried multiple types they make me extremely ill. I use to be very athletic and now work in a fast paced job in the pet industry which can be stressful. Should I have calculated my ovulation from the start of spotting or actual flow?

Yes, some women may have spotting before the start of a menstrual flow. You say that you normally have very heavy flow with your period. Have you mentioned this to your doctor? Have you had a pelvic exam recently?
