Q:

If you cramp a week before your period, spot then bleed heavy for two days and spot after are you pregnant?

I started cramping a week before my period was due. I was spotting for two days then I began to have heavy bleeding for two days. After the two days of heavy bleeding I began to spot for two days and then nothing. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. My mom and sister thinks it may be to early to detect pregnancy but i think I'm not..although the period was not as heavy as I'm used to and the fact that I don't usually get cramps during my period. Should I take another test? Is something wrong with me?

I had sex and used a condom about a month ago about august 10. (right before i started my last period. which was on August 12th) I started my period on September 9th, and it lasted 2 days and was a pretty heavly flow and ended for a day then I experienced spotting, It was pinkish brownish and really light but it was a day i thought i ended it. Could i be pregnant... ? I'm only 16 years old.. i'm FREAKING OUT! I don't normally go threw a lot of stress so i don't think that's what caused it. I don't know what to do! HELP! :/

Hi..well im 18 and never posted on sites about personal buisness but ie been experiencing sort of the same thing as most of the other woman on here. I have a normal 28-30 day cycle every month.i went off the birth control pill after december of last year and was taking it for a year.i have inprotected sex on a regular with my fiancemy last period was june 14-19 and i started spotting on the 10th around 5pm im not supose to get my period for another 8 days. it started off bright red then turned brown, that night i couldnt sleep because my stomach hurt alot with pain.i never cramp or have pain when i have my periods and now ive been bleeding heavy bright red with clumps for the past 2 days.my normal periiod would be spotting the frst day heavy 2nd day n lite the 3rd day n spottting the next 2-3 days. I read about implantation bleeding and chemical pregnancys and i am wondering if i am experiencing a chemical pregnancy or implantation where the firtalized egg didnt attach to the uterane wall and attached to tissue or falopian tube instead or if its just a early period.? Anyone with answers please help.

Hi Anonymous,
If you are experiencing pain (cramping), you should go to your physician as we cannot diagnose you on here. We can only help answer your questions. Since you had the HSG procedure, you should certainly follow up with your treating physician. Please keep us posted.

I'm a woman of 31 and I took the nuvaring out on 4 March, I got my fake period on 7 march and did not put back a new nuva ring on 11 March. I think I had my ovulation on 24 March as I took an ovulation test and the lh hormone was on its highest peak on 22 and 23 March and the lh hormone was not detected on the 24th of March. I had intercourse with my husband on the 24th. Last week I started to get dizzy nausea spells, since this week they last longer, and last two days I was almost continously nauseaus except for in the evenings, sensitive about smell of food, not hungry at all, no taste for food, since a few das also I have to pee often, last days I also had some brownish blood loss, like spotting, only few drops and stomach cramps. Some days I would feel constipaed and bloated and other days completely the opposite of that, however I have no sore breasts and I don't feel particularly tired which normally are pregnancy symptoms as well. Could I be pregnant or are these symptoms due to me getting of the nuva ring? I did a test yesterday and one today, thinking I would get my period this week, but both were negative. Could it be too early to detect anything. I still didn't get my period but as I only quitted with the nuva ring a month ago I don't whether I can expect to have a regular cycle or not. Before using the nuvaring I did have regular cycle of between 30-32 days. I feel pregnant but don't there to trust my body as it could be mixed up after the nuva ring so I hope you can advise me. I don't have the possibility to see a doctor until Friday 15 April. Thank you for all your help!

A side effect of emergency contraception is bleeding in-between periods (not as much bleeding at during a period). EC can cause a period to be a week early or a week late.

You can take a home pregnancy test once you have missed your period, to know if you are pregnant or not. Your symptoms could be related to many conditions, including pregnancy, upcoming period, upset stomach, etc.
