Q:

I'm 21 years old, married. Healthy lifestyle. I was pregnant in February of 2010 and had a miscarriage. I am fully healed except that my cervix is way more sensitive (painful) after passing the baby. It is now the last day of September, is this normal?

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. I'm so sorry for your loss. It never is easy dealing with the loss of a pregnancy.
And now for this pain...have you called your gynecologist and told them about it? Did you ever have a follow-up after your miscarriage to make sure your cervix was closed and your hormone levels were back down to where they should be?
Please come back and let me know this additional information so we may be able to help you.
In the meantime, here is an article about pain with intercourse:

Good luck and we look forward to your reply.
