I'M 60 AND LOVE MY HUSBAND - WHY DON'T I STILL ASK FOR SEX - I STILL ENJOY IT.

I WENT THROUGH MENOPAUSE AT 45 AND ACTUALLY MARRIED MY HUSBAND AROUND THE SAME TIME. I LOVED HAVING SEX WITH HIM AND WE BOTH TOTALLY ENJOYED EACH OTHER. WE WENT FOR WALKS - DROVE PLACES TO CHECK THEM OUT - WENT ON VACATIONS. HAD A BALL.

I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH FIBROMYALGIA ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO AND HAVE BEEN IN PRETTY BAD PAIN UNTIL ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO WHEN A FRIEND SUGGESTED THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE IRON. WELL I NOW TAKE KELP CAPSULES 3 TIMES A DAY AND HAVE GOTTEN OFF A COUPLE OF VERY HEAVY DRUGS. I'M ABLE TO DO MANY MORE THINGS NOW - I CAN EVEN GO PLAY IN THE DIRT AND PLANT THINGS - BUT MY SEXUAL DESIRE SEEMS TO HAVE LEFT.

I STILL ENJOY SEX WITH MY HUSBAND BUT I NEVER START IT ANYMORE. HE HAS DECIDED THAT HE WANTS ANAL SEX ALL THE TIME - AND IT'S OK - BUT I DON'T REALLY GET THAT MUCH OUT OF IT. PLUS HE COULD REALLY USE SOME VIAGRA AND WON'T GET A PRESCRIPTION FOR ME - SO IT'S LIKE GEORGE BURNS SAID " BEND IT IN THERE"

ANY HELP FOR ME????

I'm thinking that maybe a big reason of why you don't initiate sex with your husband is because anal sex isn't that great for you. You say that it's "ok" and that you "don't really get that much out of it." Have you talked with your husband about this and maybe asked him why he only wants anal sex? It sounds like he's the one who has decided this is how you're going to have sex, and that's no fun if it's not a mutual decision. I'm certainly no sexual health expert. Just my 2 cents.
