I'm a mom of three extraordinary kids and absolutely love being a member of the EmpowHer team. It was over three years ago when I wrote a cover story for The Arizona Republic about Michelle and her desire to improve women's access to health care. Her story especially resonated with me, as I had suffered from postpartum depression for several months before I finally received the diagnosis and treatment I needed to recover. I knew what it was like to feel alone in an illness and completely without hope. Michelle's vision and mission to give every woman a voice was so compelling that before I knew it, I was working with her to help bring her vision to life.
