This Saturday, August 15th, is National Relaxation Day! This particular event started in Great Britain in 2001 and was known as National Slacker Day. Here in the US, it quickly caught on as a day to promote relaxation and health.
For some people, the 15th of the month is a pay day, so imagine what a nice combination it is to get paid AND know that you simply MUST relax along with the rest of the nation.
But, come to think of it, I had all kinds of things planned for Saturday (multiple errands, cleaning, driving the kids around, etc.), so now I'm trying to figure out how to plan a relaxation day.....
What about you? How are you going to spend this national event?

Hey Kristin!
I'm all for relaxation! Saturdays are always busy for me - I'll be here on Empowher for several hours (I'll try to relax whilst here - or maybe not!) and my husband is taking our kids to his company picnic. Lot of different foods, bouncy castles, face painting, games, bungee...fun! I also have a pedicure appointment (the epitome of relaxation, I am looking foward to it!) and we have a wedding and reception late in the afternoon till goodness knows when. But getting dressed up and enjoying good food and cocktails with friends can be filed under R, I think!

I don't know.... with the exception of the pedicure, your Saturday sounds like it's kinda on the busy side to me.
I was thinking more along the lines of stretching out in my hammock on the back patio all day.... but I'm afraid that's a total fantasy because for one thing it's just way too hot here right now to spend more than 2 minutes outside, and for another, my kids unfortunately seem to store up all their energy during the week to let loose on the weekends. I have no idea what I'll be doing tomorrow, but most likely I'll fall into bed exhausted tomorrow night.
The hammock gig is a nice fantasy, though!!
