Intimacy issues

My spouse of 19 yrs. We had been intimate and then he fell asleep. I started to arouse him and went to unbelt his pants and he pushed me away. I felt as if he was upset with me. He said it was just cause he was sleeping? ? But things have been a bit unstable where he just disappears for a week at a time and won't call or anything. ( that all started when his father passed away earlier this year ) Feeling like he is shutting me out and not sure how to feel about what happened in the bedroom.

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
I'm sorry to hear about these issues you are facing. I suggest that you try to talk to him about how his father's passing may be affecting him. I know guys do not typically want to open up about their feelings. But if you come from a position of love and sincerity, he may open up to you.
If you find that simply talking to him is not helping, you should try to speak with a therapist together. That way you can find the most effective ways to support each other.
