Me and my boyfriend were having sex when the condom broke, we didn't notice it and he finished inside me. I went and got the morning after pill right away. I experienced terrible nauseous, and the next day i thought i started spotting a bit. It didnt stop and now it has turned so heavy so i am assuming it is my normal period. However i am not due to get mine for about 2 and a half more weeks. I am wondering if this is normal, if it really is my period, and if this will mean my cycle will be messed up or not. I wanted to go on the pill but now i am wondering if that too could only mess with my body more.

( I have used the morning after pill once before, and i experienced none of this, everything was normal.)

What if it's pink or brownish discharge? Is that considered the bleeding ? Or is mine different ? I took the pill as well and like a week later I had light pink discharge when I wiped and then I had cramps and hours later I had a brownish discharge.. am I pregnant ?

Hello Anonymous,

If he wore a condom during sex, and it did not break, there should not have been a chance for becoming pregnant.

How late is your period?

Please i need help! My last period was from Nov 21-25. Condom broke Dec 4th but finished outside ( most likely) took plan B right away! 7 days later on the 10th i experienced bleeding for about 2 days! Im afraid it might be implantation bleeding! Im scared , is it more likely that its withdrawal bleeding or implantation bleeding. If its withdrawal bleeding when should i expect to get my next period?

Hi my name is Frank, so i gave my girlfriend a ECP 2 and a half days after we had sex , her period came instantly but it wasn't due to 2 more weeks, its been a week already and she still feels nauseas, and has a weird feeling in her stomach. She doesn't seem to care very much because she is not worrying like i am, but she is complaining about the nauseas. what can we do to be sure?
will the urine test work while she is on her period?

Hello Frank,

The bleeding was triggered by taking the ECP. It is proof that she is not pregnant.

The nausea and strange feeling in her stomach may be a side effect of the pill or she could have a stomach virus. If the symptoms persist or worsen, she must contact her physician.

No need to take a pregnancy test.

Maryann

Hi. I and my boyfriend are sexually active. When we had sex last november 9 and 10 he cum inside me, after that I took morning after pill. And we had sex again and ge cum inside me. I had a mens after five days of taking the pill. Like a regular mens. But every time we had sex he said that he wasn't sure if cum inside me or not. I supposed to expect my mens in about two weeks more and now I have mens but not really heavy. Please I need an answer.

Hello Anonymous,

Your period could be lighter this time because you took the morning after pill. Changes to the menstrual cycle are a reported side effect.

Please start using some type of protection. He should wear a condom each and every time you have sex. You need to choose a type of birth control, like pills, an IUD or Depo Provera injections, and use it regularly.

Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

I apologize for the delay in responding to you. The early onset of your period was caused by the ECP.

Changes in the menstrual cycle are a reported side effect. The next period can start earlier or later than expected. Flow might be lighter or heavier than normal.

Regards,
Maryann
