ask: last nite i went to a food tasting of morrocan and other middle eastern food.....i have been having violent stomach cramps for 12 hours, and my bm contains long red threads of something that looks like plastic...what is wrong and what can i do??

Dear Anonymous,
It sounds as though you may have gotten food poisioning. Are you experiencing diarrhea? I am concerned that the red strands in your bowel movements may be blood (unless you ate something red that wasn't digested properly) but if you continue with these symptoms please see your doctor immediately.
